The school has a student health center that attends to the immediate health needs of students. Known as the ‘Sick Bay’, the health center is manned by professional nurses who attend to students complaining of minor health problems, and refer critical conditions to any of the hospitals.  As an institutional policy, all sick students are expected to be at the sick bay and not in the class rooms or dormitory, especially during instructional hours.

Parents or guardians of students with non-medical conditions are often invited to seek treatment for the wards at home when the need arises. The HYPERS department under which the facility is managed sometimes makes arrangement for National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) officials to come and register students who have lost or do not have NHIS cards. The department also organizes an aerobic training for both staff and students once a month. The HYPERS department is headed by Mr. Dahamani Yakubu.
